Danny Woo Community Gardens
Description
The Danny Woo Community Garden lies in the Chinatown/International District. When development in Seattle threatened the Chinatown-International District community, efforts were made to mitigate these changes. The leader of InterIm CDA, Bob Santos, approached Danny Woo with the idea of renting land from him for a community garden. The garden was created in 1975 and remains an important part of the community today.
