Watercolour Painting entitled "Santa Anita Race Track" Depicts a woman standing and holding a young boy with another boy with his thumb in his mouth standing nearby behind a column is an older girl in an apron. They stand at the front of a stable in which laundry is hanging. On the upper beam is the number "12" and the letters "G" and "H". A tap and a bucket on a shelf can be seen at the right of the painting. The colours are mostly sap green and Van Dyke brown with areas of lighter value in the foreground. The woman's sweater is a reddish colour. The painting represents the stables in fairgrounds where Japanese Americans were first billetted before being sent on to more permanent internment camps. Painted on heavy weight watercolour paper with transparent and semi-transparent paintand finished with speckles. The artist has signed the back in pencil with the title his name and date with a copyright symbol "'Santa Anita Race Track' Lee J. Wexler 1977 c" and the lower left front with his name and date.
