Beverages Exhibit Oral History Interview Jillu Zaveri was born in Mumbai, India. Her parents both worked with textiles, so Zaveri learned from them and went on to work in the fashion industry. She and her husband moved to Seattle where she worked in fashion. In 2010, Zaveri launched Jaipur Avenue, selling chai tea. She talks about the culture of chai tea in India and her personal relationship to chai. Zaveri talks about her experience starting her company and the responses she has gotten from customers. Zaveri speaks about what chai tea is, how it is prepared, and how ideas of this beverage has evolved in the U.S.
