Beverages Exhibit Oral History Interview Kazumi O'Hara was born in a small city in Japan and as a child showed a passion for beauty and self expression through singing, dancing and music. In those early years she had her first experiences with the formal practice of the Japanese Tea Ceremony which today is central to her life. After a successful career in the retail business she turned to studying and practicing the tea ceremony. Now she is a master, conducting the ceremony at special events, teaching classes and deepening her knowledge about this ancient art. The reward is the deep sense of calm and reflection that it brings to her life and the pleasure of passing that on to others.
