Description

Black and white photograph of Fay Chong's hands while painting. Chong's right hand holds an inked brush and an egg (to facilitate the proper holding of the brush). Chong paints a single brush stroke on a flat piece of paper. Behind his right hand is a gourd-shaped container with a narrow opening. This photograph was taken in conjunction with the 1961 film, "Chinese Brush Strokes," produced by Martin Moyer Productions, Seattle. The film was made in collaboration by Richard E. Fuller, Fay Chong and Charles Leong.
