Description

One porcelain cricket container with detachable lid decorated with floral motifs. The bowl curves outward toward the top and is topped by a saucer-shaped lid with openwork decoration. The container is decorated with butterflies and flower motifs on a white background. Red stamp of maker on bottom. Lid has a gold-painted rim. Probably also served as an incense burner. Store in San Francisco. Purchased in China c. 1950
