Paper fan with black lacquered wooden handle Front: Printed scne of 2 Japanese ladies catching fireflies by the light of the moon. In the summer there is a firefly festival. One lady stands and holds a fan used for catching the firefly. the kneeling lady holds a tiny green wire cage for the firelight. Behind the ladies is bush clover and in the foreground are hibiscus.
