Flat fan with bamboo frame covered with paper. Fan has a wooden handle painted in red brown color. Front: Off white background with purple blue bell flower (Kikyo) design with shaded green leaves. Brown cricket on silver blade of grass. Five silver blades of grass in all. Indistinct pale beige brush strokes across background. Red label in Japanese at top of handle. Back: "Gyokko-Ken Cafe 508 1/2 Main Street Phone EL. 1204". Repeated in Japanese. Stamped with "Made in Japan"
