Set of 5 Court Musician Dolls used for Hina Matsuri Display (Girl's Day) Court musician dolls are cross legged with one foot exposed and hands in various positions H:8.75" W:8.25"; A: Separate head made of molded wood paste dipped in gofun painted black dots on forehead (others has no dots but eyebrows) black painted eyes and red painted lips. Black hair fibers have fallen off and black paint appears beneath. B: Body. Outer robe of silk brocade with green background and white floral patterns and purple medallions side closure square neck open at shoulders orange cord stitched through sleeve edges purple lining; orange under robe shows at neckline and sleeves 3 white under robes show at neckline and one padded in sleeve opening. Khaki colored silk twill hakama with silver medal- lions. White silk covered foot; painted carved wood hands.
