Description

Two mochi offering stands for Girls' Day display A: Base is diamond shaped in the form of truncated pyramid; black lacquered wood with gold painted vine patterns on two front surfaces with a gold painted peony blossom at the lower part of the front seam; 1/2" diameter hole in upper center of each of two front faces. Called "Hishi Dai" (diamond-shaped stand) B: Tray is flat elongated diamond shape with a smaller diamond shape piece glued to center bottom where it fits into base; black lacquered wood with gold painted edge trim. C: "Mochi" is a elongated diamond shaped wooden block about 1.625" thick; painted horizontally in 1/2" bands pink green and white top to bottom; block is hollow with a hole in the bottom. Block represents mochi cake made of rice flour used as an offering on festive occasions. D: Base identical to A E: Tray identical to B F: Mochi identical to C
