Embroidery panel of rust brown silk with handstitched design with peonies and bat. The silk background was probably a deep rust orange color before fading. The hand embroidered design is primarily in satin stitch with white and blue threads. In each of the lower corners is a flower with center stitched in the forbidden knot technique. The forbidden knot is also used at the top center below the top bat. The design is bordered with a machine woven black ribbon. The panel is bordered with a machine woven blue ribbon with machine embroidered bat and flower designs. There is a cigarette burn on the right center. The entire panel is backed with a single piece of tan fabric. Printed on it in purple ink is: "Made in China"
