Writing Brush with Metal Cap A: Calligraphy brush with bamboo handle. Bristles are stiff and have dried black ink on the tip. Handle has black ink mark and the upper half has etched Chinese characters including one long column above 2 shorter columns; light brown with dark brown streaks. B: Brass cap narrows to a point at the top and forms a pinched conical shape with a flattened tip. Fits loosely on the brush and may not have been its original purpose.
