Izumeko Doll inside Basket Round coiled basket made of grass straw wrapped with wide straw has handles on either side. Inside basket doll is tucked into one side padded cloth tucked into front. Doll has black fiber bobbed style hair with side hair pieces gofun dipped head with inset glass eyes painted grey eyebrows faint red mouth stuffed shoulders and arms covered with orange crepe (chirimen) silk collar has cherry blossom leaf motif with orange background. Front inside basket appears to be stuffed with straw covered with faded orange silk warp and gold paper weft brocade. Attached to the front is a miniature version of the doll in a basket (as a toy) with red thread hung by a yellow silk cord; miniature doll sits inside a half brown acorn shell stuffed silk white head painted black hair eyes red mouth clothes consist of green silk crepe with pink floral applique yellow and gold accents.
