Wooden Crate Wood slatted box covered with greenish varnished paper with black printed decorative edging metal straps nailed along the ends two thin strips of wood along the bottom 2 metal hinges attached along one edge with two pieces of wood which was part of missing lid metal rectangle on front where hasp was connected; on front are 3 hand written black ink Chinese characters on one end in printed block letters "CHINA COTTON SHOES 60 PAIRS" above 2 hand written Chinese characters; on the other end "G.H." in an outline above "SEATTLE WASH. USA" and the number 114 "CHINA COTTON SHOES 60 PAIRS"
