Moribana metal vase for Ikebana flower arranging A: Rectangular shallow cast iron vase with flaring sides and flat rim extending out from sides cloud-shaped feet at each corner rippled sides have raised medallions (3 on long sides 2 on ends) representing Chinese characters repeated on each long side and two end characters repeated on short sides "Fu" (prosperity) "Shou" (longevity) on all four sides a band of worn thunder line pattern underneath the medallions; raised curved lines scattered on the bottom impressed in the bottom is "Japan" (although it looks Chinese) and the donor's name "Uno" in black vinyl tape. A small kenzan needle flower holder with flanges is adhered to the center interior bottom with floral paste; traces of rust. B sits on top. B: Ring shaped metal flower holder with diamond shape in center and notches which fit into the Kenzan flanges. Traces of rust and floral paste.
