Dai Base

Rectangular table style dai base dark wood with shell inlay with raised top edge used for Ikebana flower arranging. Front and sides have mother-of-pearl inlay in floral design. The legs are separate pieces joined with a meitered joint. They are spider leg style curving inward. The lower edge is carved in a decorative manner. Several of the flower designs have lost portions of the shell inlay.
