Potanin Sumac Rhus potaninii Maxim. punjab Sumac Rhus punjabensis Stew. var. sinica (Diels) Rehd. et Wils. (family Anacardiaceae). 1. as an astringent agent for the treatment of persistent cough night sweating chronic diarrhea bloody stool urorrhea. 2. externally for burns bleeding due to traumatic injuries hemorrhoids and ulcers in mouth.
