Tengu Mask Papier mache mask painted red on front with gold lines on forehead eyes and mouth black eyebrows mustache and chin hair; has large protruding nose downturned mouth and hollow eyes. An elastic cord is attached on either side behind the eyes to fit around head. Tengu represents a European face and is considered the patron saint of farmers.
