Japanese Religion altar Butsudon Buddhist Zushi

Description

Wooden Miniature Altar (Butsudon) (Zushi) The altar is made of wood nailed together. It has three plain sides with double doors in the front. There are two metal hinges on each door. Above the doors the temple flairs out in sections and the top rises up in the center forming a rounded roof. The arched roof is covered with seven layers of straw matting. Inside the altar is a shelf with four posts and a rail in the front. The shelf is supported by a series of horizontal wood pieces each a different size.
