Description
A foot of coiled bamboo laced together to form a tube to which is laced a tubular basket (A) and its cover (B). Basket (A) is 3 3/4" outside diameter woven of natural and blue-dyed strips. The bottom is folded under and laced to a mad-weave pattern base. The cover (B) is also a tube just large enough to enclose (A); it is in effect a sleeve. It too has its one end folded under and laced to a mad-weave piece that forms the closure. The exterior and interior patterns of (A) are identical. In (B) the exterior is a pattern of two squares separated from three similar squares by vertical lines of the same color. Each square contains two X's one above the other. There is no carrying cord.
