Handmade doll's futon is made of light silk fabric. The edges are folded to the front and frame a deep purple fabric with a lotus motif woven into the cloth in gray yellow pink green and dark beige. Stitching is by hand in white thread. The front back and batting are held in place with knotted yellow embroidery thread throughout the middle of the piece. Green embroidery thread accents each of the corners and help keep the batting in place at the ends of the piece.
